I was worried about the fit, but it was just right. The vest is a soft and not heavy. I did not know about the pockets. You have a zipper pocket inside a open pocket and that works good for me.

There is nothing wrong with this item - this is BIKER'S (not cowboy's) vest, with large patch (embroidered) of a bold eagle on THE BACK (not in front) - the image shows exactly what you'll get. The patch comes as a bonus (I guess). Pretty strong leather, honest finishing, good cut. Just right for the big (fat) and tall guys. OK, not a luxury item, but good for everyday use, so: fair price - only the suckers should expect something else for that money - you'll get what you pay for. Fast delivery. Safely & properly packed. Honest description. No complaints.

I ordered this vest because the picture shows a plain black vest with no patches. When I got this vest it was covered with biker patches.I had to remove all the patches because I bought this to use as a western vest to use with cowboy action shooting in the pre 1900 era. Biker patches do not fit this era.
