These leather saddlebags are made from split leather which is the thick under part of the top grain leather. Great for couple of years of use. Not Water Proof but Water Resistant. We recommend you using some waterproofing leather cream.
No need for any mounting hardware or support brackets. Just put under passenger seat over the rear fender and tie-down to the motorcycle frame using the attached leather tie-downs on each bag. You can easily choose how high or low you want to hang the bags by adjusting the center strap. These are designed not to flop around in the wind or get into the rear wheel and also to give adequate leg space for the passenger. Each bag is treated for water resistant (not water proof).
This will look good and will fit most of the Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, BMW motorcycles.

Customer Reviews: Like themJuly 24, 2010 Starshan I bought these to replace the old ones my husband had. I should have bought the more rounded ones though. I am the passenger & getting on & off of his bike square type bags does make it harder for me to get off the bike. I am a little concerned though even with these bags up as high as my husband can get them they do still somewhat sit on the mufflers & stuff in the bags do get a bit hot to the touch. My husband had this issue with the other bags that came with the used bike. For the price though I couldn't pass them up, they make his bike look so fancy where as the old bags he had made the bike look so old.

Put these on my 1985 Suzuki Intruder. They fit quite nicely. I was surprised at how big they are and how much they can hold. The leather isn't "grade AAA" quality (Made in Pakistan), but the contruction is solid and the leather very tough. It took about 10 minutes to install. No frame required on my bike. They're stiff enough that they sit very rigid and firm against the frame. Took them on a good highway ride and found no flopping or shifting. Small side pockets nice touch and is where I stash a couple spare tools for roadside emergencies. Definitely NOT waterproof...they don't zip up or have any top sealed enclosure...just a couple small 4" side flaps that tuck in.
For the price (and quick delivery), it was an amazing deal. My friends say my bike looks "complete" now. And I can pickup bread, milk, and a six-pack on my way home from work!
