Nice Budget HelmetMarch 12, 2010 Mr Pink Very cool little helmet. Fits pretty true to size. Looks well made with nice stuck on graphics. Slight mushroom head look that should diminish some with use. I took the visor off-- didn't like the way it looked. Great buy.
Can't vouch for the ability to protect your melon. Hope I never find out.

After using this helmet for half a summer I must add that it's noisy as heck on the highway, due to the ear holes being open. At lower speeds it's just fine. I do use it on the freeway anyway though-- just a heads up in case this would be important to you..
Also-- the red star on the front is an eye catcher-- everyone seems to notice it as you're riding.

A face shield offers more wind protection but this works great when you don't mind the wind. Ordering something that you should try on before you buy it made me a bit nervous but it looks like I took the right measurements and the helmet measured as advertised. The strap is nice and has the little added button snap to secure the slack so it is not slapping you in the face. I would get another for me or my wife and kids. I got one for my wife that has hot pink butterflies on it. She loves it because she wears prescription glasses. I kinda wish it came with the removable ear pads but a few more bucks will get me that. Again, this is great for hot days and short in town riding even though it does fine on the open highway but protection is minimal.
